REVIEW:

           If you didn’t hear, Samsung has been selling four, since the phone’s launch.  It’s a dizzying amount that even had me tripped up and writing that they were selling one S4 every four seconds.  That is until one commenter pointed out my mistake.   To further fuel that success, Samsung today announced that they’ll begin selling a mini version of the S4 called, the Galaxy S4 Mini (you could have guessed that).

Instead of the s4 5" scree, the S4 Mini will sport a 4.3″ qHD capable Super AMOLED display.  Under the hood is a 1.7Ghz dual-core processor as well as an 8-megapixel main camera complemented by a 1.9mp front facing camera.

Much like the S4 Mini’s big brother, Samsung has included an IR blaster for changing your TV’s channel.  They’ve also packed in the same electronic programming guide, which effectively makes the phone a great fit for those that don’t have a cable box (like me).  And after you’re done being a couch potato you can fire up the handset’s S Health app which tracks your steps, monitors your sleep and other activities.

For those abroad there will be dual-sim chips, though they’ll only support 3G connectivity, while the single SIM version will be 4G LTE ready.  Other features include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, Android 4.2.2, GPS, WiFi, and a 1,900mAh battery.

There is no word on when the Samsung S4 Mini will ship in the US, but when and if it does, it will be available in black or white.  That said, it looks to be heading to the UK sometime in July, according to Phones 4U.
